Most humans on earth today have an eating disorder – or at least, disjointed, disordered eating. We have little idea where our food is coming from or often what’s in it (think restaurants). Thus, we are left with a disconnection and imbalanced relationship to food. With added chemicals, flavoring agents and concentration of calories in non-natural foods, our brain is simply hard-wired to LOVE the experience of eating. Surely, food is fuel calorically. But on the level of stored energy (think: fat on thighs), stored minerals and nutrients? we are well-prepared to undergo a journey to break our addiction.
